It’s going to be hot work for the country’s leading speedcar drivers with temperatures set to soar above 40 degrees during the day.
Victorians will make up most of the field but three NSW drivers and one Queenslander will be hoping to take home the coveted state title.
Starters include former winners Danny Stainer and Peter Robotham.
Australian title holder Justin McMinn is chasing his first Victorian title and he’ll be up against Queenslander Gary Hudson who is fresh from winning consecutive NSW championships.
The winner will receive $500 in prizemoney.
GP midgets will feature on the night as will the Vic sports sedans, standard saloons and juniors.
Gates open at noon with racing to start at 4pm and continuing until about 11pm.
Entry to the track is $20 for adults, $15 for pensioners and free for children under 16 if accompanied by an adult.
