Our only Bright spot?

TOURISM statistics put only one Border and NE town in the top 20 destinations for Victoria and NSW.

The statistics were compiled by an accommodation booking company that specialises in last-minute bookings.

They show that Bright, Victoria's North East, was the eighth-most popular destination over the Christmas and new year period in Victoria.

It beat popular coastal resort Lorne and Murray River town Echuca.

The lists were dominated by capital cities, with Sydney and Melbourne easily winning in their respective states.
