Wodonga police Detective Acting Sgt Andrew Leonard said between six and seven youths threw a bottle through a car parked at the fast food restaurant about 10.15pm.
He said they approached three teenagers, two aged 16 and one 15, sitting outside the Birallee Tavern.
Sgt Leonard said a teenage boy from the larger group assaulted the 15-year-old girl. He said they then stole two bikes and a mobile phone.
He said they’ve identified most of the teenagers in the group.
“I would encourage each and every one of them to surrender themselves to Wodonga police,” Sgt Leonard said.
He asked anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or was a victim of damage to come forward.
Information can be passed on by phoning Wodonga police on (02) 6049 2600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
