KIEWA has celebrated its anniversary by naming five life members, including the first female life member.
Alan Streeter, Rob Bartel, David Coulston, Stuart Lancaster and Margaret Sutherland were bestowed the honour on Saturday night as the club celebrated 125 years of existence.
Almost 200 people attended the celebration at the Tangambalanga Community Centre, which was followed by an exhibition match at Kiewa the next day.
Among those there on the Saturday night were members of premiership teams from the 1940s, as well as former player Merve Barton.
Hawks president and A grade skipper Ash Sutherland said the exhibition match was the perfect way to finish the birthday party.
“It was a pretty relaxed day but it was great that everyone came down,” he said.
“The kids were there in force so we had a great day.”
