RESIDENTS moving into The Botanical high-rise apartments next to the Albury ambulance station in the next week or two will have sweeping views of Dean Street and the hills around Albury-Wodonga.
Lead contractor PLY, formerly Premier Building & Construction, is putting the finishing touches to a tower that contains 15 apartments on four levels and two levels of commercial space.
Albury Eye Clinic will occupy all the second floor but the ground floor is yet to be let.
As well as the six floors above ground, the $10 million Le Hunte Properties development has two floors of secure car parking.
About 45 tradesmen worked on the 24-metre building at the construction peak but only a handful were there yesterday under site manager Mark Hindmarsh.
People using the lift can view a colourful vertical mural created by artist Mark McDonald visible through a glass wall.
With most of the apartments sold for prices from $320,000, there is a three-bedroom penthouse available for $850,000.
