THE Albury-Wodonga weekly newspaper, Mid Week Express, has been closed.
General manager of The Border Mail, David Bowring said the closure of Mid Week Express was “regrettable but inevitable”.
“Our focus as a news organisation is firmly on producing Australia’s best regional newspaper, The Border Mail and increasingly, on improving our online product and experience,” Mr Bowring said.
“A strong daily newspaper and a vibrant online presence is where we see the future and this decision gives us the opportunity to further strengthen our position in the Albury-Wodonga community.”
