1.55PM: FIREFIGHTERS have responded to a bushfire on Nail Can Hill near Pemberton Street.

No homes are threatened. The RFS has containment lines in place and the fire is being controlled.

Fire and Rescue NSW tweeted that "firefighters have the upper hand. Fire being contained - no properties under threat".

There is an 'Advice' warning for homes in the area. Residents should monitor conditions.

The fire has burnt about three hectares.

Part of Pemberton Street was closed by police. 

Smoke can be seen from as far as Wodonga.

It is the second fire on Nail Can Hill this summer.
