A MAN believed to be a police officer was electrocuted on a property near Walwa yesterday.
The body of the 53-year-old was found about midday.
A police media spokeswoman said investigators believed the man was electrocuted after working with a generator on the Cudgewa-Bluff Road.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a brief will be prepared for the coroner,” she said.
It is not known whether the man was from the North East but he did work at a Victoria Police eastern region station.
The region covers a vast area from outer eastern Melbourne suburbs to Shepparton, then across to Wodonga and Corryong and down to Mount Beauty, Falls Creek, Mount Buller and Mansfield.
