Paraglider in tree rescued

A JUMPING castle has come to the rescue of a paraglider stuck up a tree for four hours.

The Victoria Police search and rescue squad was called in after the woman pilot landed in a tree at the Mystic Hill site in Bright about 6pm on Sunday.

The 27-year-old was caught in the tree about 16 metres, the equivalent of a five-storey building, off the ground.

Police placed matting and an inflated jumping castle underneath the tree while a crane was organised.

She was brought down safely without injury about 10pm, with the assistance of the SES.
