A SEXUAL assault on a 90-year-old Wangaratta woman in the early hours of yesterday morning is being investigated by Melbourne’s sex crime squad.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the woman woke to find a man standing beside her bed in the Murdoch Road property about 4am.
She said the man sexually assaulted her before fleeing.
“The woman was not injured during the incident,” the spokeswoman said.
The only details of the man being sought was that he had stubble on his face.
