A WOMAN riding a motor scooter has died following a collision in Lavington yesterday morning.

The 81-year-old local rider was involved in a collision with a sedan at the intersection of Waugh and Union roads, about 8.20am.
The woman was thrown from her Honda scooter and sustained critical injuries.
She was taken to Albury Base Hospital where she died yesterday afternoon.
The 49-year-old male driver of the sedan was not hurt and underwent mandatory blood and urine tests.
Police are investigating the crash and seized both vehicles for forensic testing.
They expect to formally interview the sedan driver from Lavington at a later stage.
