North Albury wins all 3 rinks

NORTH Albury’s grade 2 team proved too good for Henty in round 4 of the Albury and District bowls season.

The competition’s top-ranked side won all three rinks on its way to a resounding 66-51 overall win.

North Albury skip Gerald O’Brien enjoyed a resounding 24-18 win against Kerry Boyle 24-18 but the biggest margin was Norm Honey’s seven shots against Glen Harrison.

Noel Trainor got the job done against Peter Fork 20-18.

Not to be outdone, North Albury’s grade three team took care of a struggling Holbrook by 25 shots, 66-41.

North Albury skip Stewie Ronan drew with Holbrook’s Peter Wornes 19-19 but it was all one way for Col Dwyer and David Benbow who won by 11 and 14 shots respectively.

And Howlong wasn’t up to the challenge thrown down by Commercial.

It went down 53-66, winning two out of three rinks.
