VICTORIAN enduro champion Mitch Harper will go up against the world’s best when he competes in the FIM Enduro World Championship, starting in Chile on March 16-17.
The 21-year-old from Bright is no stranger to the international stage, having represented Australia at the International Six Day Enduro in Germany last year.
The former Victorian junior champion will enter the under-23 class in solid form after claiming fourth in the pro class at the Melbourne Enduro-X on February 3.
Harper also competed in the last two rounds of the Enduro World Championship in France last year where, in the junior class, he finished a respectable 11th.
Harper, who started his enduro career competing in the Victorian Off-Road Championships, will ride for Honda Johansson MPE World enduro team.
“I’ll be really looking forward to racing and training with the world’s best,” Harper said.
“I’d be stoked with a top-five finish in the under-23 class. I’ve got another Australian, Matthew Phillips, to compete against. He’s riding well and is pretty fast. It’ll be good to have a couple of Aussies over there.”
