The lake’s controllers authorities had increased the daily release on Friday morning from 20,400 to as much as 33,200 on Sunday night.
The release rate remained at 30,000 megalitres on Monday and Tuesday before lake staff were instructed at 11am yesterday to pull it back to 27,000.
By 4.40pm the lake was 97.4 per cent full and falling slightly.
The high release rate following recent heavy rain has caused low-lying parts of the Lincoln Causeway, including bike paths and walking tracks, to flood.
Noreuil Park and Mungabareena also bore the brunt of the releases with water submerging roads to both popular spots.
