MEMBER for Benambra Bill Tilley revealed his annoyance with former premier Ted Baillieu hours before he resigned.

Mr Tilley met with Mr Baillieu yesterday morning, telling the Victorian Premier he was annoyed with comments about how Mr Tilley left the role of parliamentary secretary to Police Minister Peter Ryan.

Mr Baillieu told parliament on Tuesday that Mr Tilley quit because his conduct was inconsistent with the role.

But Mr Tilley, who entered Mr Baillieu’s office with a copy of Hansard, said he was annoyed by the comments.

“I was annoyed and, look, I’ll address it directly with the Premier. I’ll ask to see him and take it from there,” he said yesterday.

“There was some inaccuracies and I just want to correct those.

“They’re taking some things from a report that was tabled by the Office of Police Integrity and adding some things that certainly weren’t part of that report.”

Mr Tilley was not available for comment yesterday evening.
