Runners hooked on Fishy trail run

RUNNERS dressed as flying fish, sword fish and Murray cod ... sounds a bit fishy?

Teams and individuals will test their fitness and raise money for charities by competing in the second Fishy Trail Run and half marathon on April 7.

The “Fishy” will include a six-kilometre and 12-kilometre trail run plus a 21-kilometre half-marathon course.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Border Trust and Parklands Albury Wodonga.

The event showcases Parklands Albury Wodonga’s regional bush parks as competitors can walk, jog or run along the banks of the Kiewa and Murray rivers and its tributaries.

“This trail run and half marathon is for everyone, from the creative to the serious trail runner wanting to clock up points for the North East Runner of the Year award,” organising committee member and Albury Wodonga Parklands community ranger Ant Packer said.
