Debate continues over 2 days

DEBATING will be held over two days instead of one among the changes to this year’s Albury-Wodonga Eisteddfod.

The change will help accommodate the growing number of entries.

Entries for the eisteddfod are now open and information can be found on a more “user friendly” website, which is a result of community feedback and an online survey last year.

Eisteddfod administration officer Benita Cousins said the website address was the same, but it was easier to navigate and there was more information.

“Volunteers, both new and past, can also register their interest on it,” Mrs Cousins said.

Mrs Cousins encouraged people to get their entries in early, to avoid a last-minute rush.

The eisteddfod will be held from July 26 to August 11 and includes the usual disciplines.

The use of direct deposit this year will benefit parents paying entry fees.

“In the past it was cheque or money order and not everyone has access to cheque,” Mrs Cousins said.

Entries close May 3.
