WALLA limped into the Brocklesby and District finals series after going down to bottom-placed Balldale by 138 runs at Balldale on Saturday.
With Doug Lavis making only his fourth appearance of the season, the home team dominated from the outset to come within three points of making the semi-finals.
Lavis hammered 89 in a total of 9-232 and took 1-20 as Walla crumbled to be out for 94 in the chase.
Adam Richardson and Matt Ross also played handy knocks for the victors.
Oaklands proved no match for unbeaten Rand.
After being set 9-153, the Pigeons chased the total with ease thanks to knocks from James and Mark Kreutzberger, Ryan Kirkwood and Clinton Ralston.
