A MAN, 80, has been threatened in his own bedroom forced to flee in the dark to his neighbour’s house.
The Howlong man woke to noises in his home about 4am yesterday and woke again about two hours later to the sight of a man in his bedroom.
The intruder threatened to assault the elderly man, who managed to escape to a neighbouring property.
The homeowner was not hurt and it is believed nothing was stolen.
Police say the intruder would have left the area via Russell Street, Hammer Street or Sturt Street.
He is described as Caucasian, aged in his mid-20s, about 175 centimetres tall and of medium build with a shaved head and tattoos “all over his body”.
