One last Regal show before Jim sells the Valiant

CHRYSLERS on the Murray celebrates its 21st this weekend with a display of 700 cars.

One of those will be Jamie “Jim” Jankauskas’s 1969 Chrysler VE Valiant Regal.

The self-confessed vintage car buff said that with three cars on his plate, including a 1963 Dodge convertible, it was time to sell his beloved Chrysler.

“It’s time to move on to something else – one has got to go,” Mr Jankauskas, of Albury, said.

“It still has its original NSW number plates and it’s got optional 160 horsepower, high-performance, slant-6 motor.

“The VE was the 1967 Wheels car of the year.”

This year’s exhibition, at Gateway Lakes, Wodonga, will feature talks by former US Chrysler engineers Mike Buckle and Richard Jones.

It starts at 7am on Saturday and Sunday.
