A HARRIETVILLE man has been charged after a knife fight outside the town’s pub on the weekend.
Detectives last night charged the man, 37, with three counts of threatening to kill, two counts of recklessly causing serious injury and three counts of assault with a weapon.
Detective Leading Sen-Constable Mark Hussey said the charges relate to an incident outside the Snowline Hotel at 1am on Saturday.
Police said the fight involved a knife and a man suffered slash wounds across his torso.
The man was also charged with three counts of burglary, handling stolen goods and possession of property being the proceeds of crime and has been bailed to Myrtleford Magistrates’ Court on April 5.
Sen-Constable Hussey said these charges relate to three burglaries at a caravan park in Freeburgh between December 27 and March 8.
He said permanent on-site vans were broken into and food, televisions and DVD players were stolen.
