TEAM Wurtz will head into next week’s semi- final with confidence after a hard fought two-set win against Spencer in section 1 ladies.
Colleen Gallagher was best for the winners, while Alison Botting was in fine touch for Spencer.
Sands lost the first set but powered away to defeat Jacobs.
McKeon finished strongly in its section 2 encounter with McNeil to force a draw.
McNeil had the edge but strong play in the final two sets from Fiona Stutton, Michelle Aldrich, Jenny Clark and Jo Graham saw them share the points.
In the other completed match, Van Der Vliet had too much ammunition for Van Der Stadt, winning by four sets.
