Teens escape freeway crash

TWO teenagers are lucky to be alive after their car rolled on the Hume Freeway near Wodonga this morning.

Police said the Ford Falcon XR6, driven by an 18-year-old Wodonga P-plater, veered off the north-bound lane at Barnawartha North at 10.30am.

The car flipped onto its roof after hitting an embankment and the driver and his 14-year-old brother had to crawl out of the vehicle.

Both were uninjured, but were taken to hospital for observation.

Police are investigating whether a tyre on the car blew.
