It has been a conservative constituency represented by a conservative party, and by a healthy margin as well.
All might have appeared perfectly content on the surface but the Voice for Indi group suggests an undercurrent of displeasure in the electorate.
Yesterday the grassroots group announced its candidate — Cathy McGowan — to take on Liberal incumbent Sophie Mirabella.
The group seems confident of making a significant impact where maybe most political pundits might surmise there is little but a bit of wishful thinking.
A comprehensive survey carried out by Voice of Indi though strongly suggests Ms McGowan might have a support base she can woo.
Some people think the power and will of the party machines does not necessarily match the sentiments and aspirations of the community.
