Purcell, who has booted 92 goals from just seven games, incredibly bettered his haul of 16 against Mathoura a week earlier with yet another devastating performance.
He has snagged hauls of 11, 11, 13, 7, 9, 16 and 25 so far this year.
The Demons are unbeaten and coach Josh Bode, who will also lead the league at representative level this weekend, said the club was benefiting from being able to play Purcell closer to goal.
“The club probably hasn’t had the luxury of being able to play him out of the square before,” Bode said.
“He kicked 16 last week but I thought he missed a few opportunities whereas Saturday he kicked some beauties.
“He’s got some quality players putting it down his throat which helps.
“We kept them to one goal for the game, too, which was pleasing.”
Bode said the club would find out a lot more about itself after this week’s interleague bye.
The Picola North West league will take on the Mid-Gippsland league at Visy Park on Sunday.
“We’ve got Blighty, Strathmerton, Berrigan and Deni Rovers after the break,” Bode said.
“We’ve played them all before but they were all missing key players.
“It will be a good chance to see where we are really at.”
In other games, eight goals from Martin McKenzie wasn’t enough for Mathoura as it fell by 22 points to Berrigan.
Deniliquin Rovers, meanwhile, scored an 80-point win over Picola United.
Strathmerton was too good for Blighty.
In the South East, Lee James and Damian Payne combined for 10 goals up forward as Tungamah ran out 37-point winners over Katunga.
Rennie, Katamatite and Dookie United also had wins.
