Bayles was a shock bolter into Yarrawonga’s team for today’s clash with Wodonga.
“He’s come from nowhere,” Kennedy said.
“He walked into town — we didn’t recruit him — and we found out he was captain of the team where he was from.
“He didn’t have the greatest pre-season but his form in the reserves so far has been super.
“It (playing his first game) is long overdue, to be honest.”
The former Old Geelong star, and Corowa-Rutherglen junior, is one of four inclusions for the Pigeons, who will be without Brendan Fevola, Corey Greer, Tyler Bonat and Nick Lawless.
Kennedy confirmed former AFL star Brad Ottens would definitely play his first game for Yarrawonga in next week’s game against Albury.
Yarrawonga’s round 11 clash against North Albury, meanwhile, has been moved back to Saturday, June 22.
The game was meant to be played on the Sunday but it would clash with the Victorian state netball championships and has been moved to Saturday.
