1. The Outnet
Best for: Created by the people behind Net-A-Porter, the Outnet houses brands like Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang and Mulberry at anywhere from 30-75% off the original price. Great for snapping up a statement piece for an absolute bargain.

2. My Net Sale
Best for: With buyers based in Paris this Australian online store has access to labels like Celine, Isabel Marant and Saint Laurent. Members sign up to buy discounted designer items in private flash sales that also includes beauty and homewares brands.

Shipping time: Up to 21 business days
3. Reebonz
Best for: Designer gear at amazing prices. Like My Net Sale, Reebonz is a members only website that sells luxury labels in private flash sales. But you can also see the pieces for yourself - in April Reebonz opened a retail store located at 570 George Street, Sydney.

4. Bluefly
Best for: Bluefly boasts the biggest selection of designers in one place with a current total of 665 brands available, making it more like an online department store in size. They have many brands you can’t find anywhere else and a great sale and clearance section with some great finds. The only downside is the expensive shipping.

Shipping time: 7-14 business days
5. Piperlime
Best for: American denim labels. Piperlime have all the top brands - Levis, J Brand, Seven for All Mankind, James Jeans, Rag & Bone, Current/Elliott and so many more. They cleverly group them together under the ‘Denim Shop’ which allows you to compare styles and prices. Style queens, Rachel Zoe and Olivia Palermo are regular contributors and offer their personal picks.

6. Matches Fashion
Best for: While it’s certainly not a discount store, Matches still has reasonably good prices for their designer labels in comparison to many of their competitors. They do have an excellent sale section with greatly reduced prices on past season stock.

7. My Wardrobe
Best for: My Wardrobe is a global company with a Sydney office which is great if you want to call with questions or make any returns. They have a smaller edit of designers and styles available than other online stores but the pieces they carry are right on trend. However the shipping is quite high.

8. Shopbop
Best for: Affordable US fashion delivered in a hurry. Shop Bop is one of the most popular online stores for Australian shoppers and for good reason. The selection is vast and you can order on a Monday and be wearing it to Thursday night drinks. Returns are relatively painless as well.
