The Albury seven-year-old will join 28 dancers from Cathie’s Celtic Dance group to perform at the National Celtic Festival in the Victorian coastal town of Portarlington.
“It’s the third time we have been invited back, but it’s a first for some of our youngest dancers,” dance teacher Cathie Webb said.
“They don’t usually take young ones but they have worked so hard and earned their spot.”
Jessica was at rehearsal yesterday afternoon and admitted she was a bit scared.
“There’s going to be so many people watching,” she said.
Jessica is following in the footsteps of her older sister, Rachael, who showed her Riverdance on the television when she was just three years old.
The dance troupe have performed at events such as the Beechworth Celtic Festival, Albury’s Applause Festival and the Wodonga Children’s Festival.
