I travelled from Deniliquin to attend this event, a two-hour drive in memory of my son who took his life four years ago this December and my youngest brother 24 years ago.
I admire the courage of Jennifer Watterson to stand in front of a crowd of strangers (in such freezing cold conditions) to share the loss of her beloved brother. I hope this event ends the stigma associated with suicide.
Suicide does not discriminate, it affects all walks of life.
If we can save one family from going through what so many of us have already been through we are halfway there.
