A TAKEAWAY shop in Albury made popular by its instant Sunday roast has sold its first franchise to open in a Melbourne suburb.

Carv’n It Up was started three years ago in Young Street by father and son Graham and Steve Sessions.
Due to its success they made plans to expand the business into franchises.
The new store in Pakenham will be run by franchisees Kate Khoury and Coreen Pierce.
Mr Sessions said yesterday it took 12 months before everything was finalised and their rules and regulations were in writing.
“We had to produce an operation manual to make sure there will be consistency throughout all our franchises,” he said.
Graham said Steve came up with the idea when they stumbled across the concept of a takeaway shop with home-cooked meal quality while on holiday in Queensland.
More than 20 people have approached Carv’n It Up to buy a franchise store.
Mr Sessions is working on opening another shop in Wodonga where there is more room for expansion so they can service franchisees and offer them support.
And more stores are planned after that.
