Naomi Ingleton and The Butter Factory at Myrtleford won the award in the From the Dairy artisan category with their cultured and lightly salted butter.
It was the third consecutive year The Butter Factory, owned by Ms Ingleton and her mother Bronwyn, had been nominated in the awards.
Meanwhile, Beechworth and the Alpine Valley was the regional award winner.
Now in their eighth year, the awards showcase Australian producers and aim to uncover new products and ingredients.
There was a record 3110 nominations from across the country in this year’s awards across 14 categories with a focus on quality and sustainability.
On announcing the finalists, judge and awards patron Maggie Beer had described the produce submitted to this year’s awards as “the best yet”.
