AN ALBURY man and woman will appear in court today after being charged with several drug offences.
The man, 22, and the woman, 21, were arrested early yesterday morning in Culcairn — the culmination of a two-month investigation by Albury detectives.
Police said they were waiting for the man when he got off a train at Culcairn railway station about 3.50am.
He tried to avoid arrest by fleeing from police on foot.
He allegedly threw away a small amount of methylamphetamine before police caught him.
The woman arrived soon after and was also arrested, and both were taken to Albury police station.
Police then searched a Ryan Road property, where several items were seized for forensic testing.
The two were charged with several counts of supplying a prohibited drug and both were yesterday refused bail.
They will appear before Albury Local Court today.
