CHARLES Borella will represent NSW in New Zealand later this month.
The young Border squash ace earned selection for the state’s under-15 team after a strong individual showing at the recent NSW combined high school playoffs at Newcastle.
He will compete in the annual country high school tri-state championship in New Zealand against a team from Queensland and one from across the Tasman.
It’s the first time the event will be held in New Zealand.
Borella is the reigning junior boy’s champion at Lavington Panthers.
Lavington clubmates Brady Hofer and Connor Stewart, pictured with SS&A’s Daniel Joosten, were also in the combined high school team that placed sixth overall in Newcastle.
Four of that team’s six members were from Albury clubs, the others from Deniliquin and Leeton.
