A LATE goal to Josh Mulcahy was the get-out-of-jail card for Albury United in its 2-all draw with Twin City.
Wanderers burst out of the blocks with two finishes by Alex West and Dave Robin giving them a 2-0 lead inside 15 minutes.
But a goal on the stroke of half-time to Aiden Rees brought the margin back to one.
United dominated long periods in the second half and despite the loss of midfielder Caleb Martin to his second yellow card United still scored the equaliser through Mulcahy with just five minutes to go.
United coach Adam Carty was left to rue a slow start.
“We were too lethargic but we were unlucky not to come away with a win in the end,” he said.
“But we are now benefiting from having a fully fit squad to choose from.
Twin City coach and defender Jamie Block missed the clash through injury but was disappointed they let the win slip.
“We looked so good early in the game and had we got another I think it would have been all over,” he said.
