AN unfair dismissal claim from a Mulwala mother grieving for her murdered daughter was resolved in a confidential settlement.
Jenny Doyle’s daughter Kara, 24, was shot and killed in April and her boyfriend was charged with murder.
Ms Doyle launched an unfair dismissal claim with the Fair Work Commission after she said she lost her job with Australian Commercial Catering at Mulwala soon after her daughter died.
It was a claim disputed by company boss Peter Darmos, who said Ms Doyle still had a position.
Ms Doyle’s solicitor, John Suta, said in a statement from both Australian Commercial Catering and his client yesterday the matter had been resolved to “all parties’ satisfaction” and both Ms Doyle and the company acted “reasonably and fairly” in negotiations.
