CHEMICALS that might be used to make drugs were seized when Albury police stopped a car on Thursday.
They stopped a Nissan X-Trail on the Hume Freeway at Albury about 11pm.
Two men were arrested and charged.
Police have not put a value on the haul, nor said what drugs could have been made with the chemicals.
Albury directed inquiries to Sydney’s police media unit.
It said the car was searched after police had spoken to the driver and his passenger and 71 grams of an unknown powder, cash, several mobile phones and drug paraphernalia were found.
The men, aged 29 and 32, were taken to Albury station and later charged with dealing with the proceeds of crime.
The men are due to appear in Albury Local Court on Tuesday, after being granted conditional bail.
