THE Border Mail Fed Hill Challenge is on track for another bumper field.
About 400 entries have been received for tomorrow’s annual race at Willow Park with the number set to swell before pre-race entries close.
Myrtleford’s Ben Buckingham looks a leading chance of winning after taking out the Wodonga 11 kilometre Classic last month, while Terry Burgess rates well.
In the women’s 10 kilometres race, Lavington’s Sophie Sirr is expected to meet strong opposition from Yarrawonga juniors Stephanie and Olivia Elliott and Lavington junior Alhana Hofer.
Organiser Bill Pearce said the race catered for all standards.
“For the average jogger or weekend warrior this is a fun event with fantastic atmosphere,” Pearce said.
“There is always a chance of taking home a spot prize and at the very least the satisfaction of completing a run and getting a time, whichever course you do.”
About 50 volunteers will be on course tomorrow with entries being taken at the Wodonga Athletic Club clubrooms in Pearce Street between 9.30am and noon today.
Entries and race numbers will also be available from 8am to 9.30am tomorrow at the start-line in Willow Park.
