BROCKLESBY-Burrumbuttock footballers Sam O’Connor and Dean Murphy, pictured, will throw their support behind a good cause when the Hume Football League club takes on Rand-Walbundrie at Brocklesby today.
The Saints will wear a different playing strip to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia and Cancer Council.
“We have had several people at our club dealing with cancer in recent times and we just thought it was a good opportunity to throw our support behind a good cause,” club president Steve Koschitzke said yesterday.
“As well as the jumpers being auctioned or bought, we will have a signed Richmond jumper, money tins and a ground raffle going around on the day.”
Brocklesby-Burrumbuttock will hold its annual sportsman’s luncheon at Albury’s Commercial Club on August 28.
