ALBURY’S Regent Cinemas have been given a Hollywood touch-up.
The historic building, near the corner of Dean and David streets, has had an exterior facelift on its classic beauty.
Ccontractors AAA Property Works repaired all awnings, and replastered and repainted the facade.
AAA Property Works owner Craig Seton said the trickiest parts of the month-long job was matching paint colours and the facade’s intricate heritage details.
Clearly, his crew was successful — Regent’s technical manager Michael Ward said the company was thrilled with the result.
“It’s good to see the building back to its original look,” he said.
“We’ve had a few repairs over the years but nothing of this scale.”
Mr Ward said it was important to give the building a spruce, given its history and the period charm of several other Dean Street buildings in the area.
Mr Seton said it was the second such work his firm had done in the street. The other was on an 18-month revamp of WAW Credit Union’s building.
