THERE were no bidders when Dean Street’s Temple Court went to auction yesterday afternoon.
The reserve price was set at $900,000, 10 per cent below what its vendors bought it for.
Almost 30 people attended the auction, pictured, but no one was willing to bid for the property.
LJ Colquhoun Dixon commercial real estate director Andrew Dixon said Temple Court would now be sold privately.
“I expect us to do business over the next few days and I think it will be sold for over $1 million,” he said.
He said the 453 square metre building with a 12.2 metre frontage, two shops, laneway, courtyard and rooms at the back were enough to attract a buyer.
