TAKE a step back in time to when marrying your cousin was commonplace and an unwed woman in her late 20s was considered a spinster.
Jane Austen’s famous novel Pride and Prejudice will come to life at Catholic College Wodonga tonight as students take to the stage to explore a world far removed from the one they live in now, where status and money trumped love and class divided societies.
Performances will be held at Catholic College’s Catherine McAuley Arts Centre tonight, tomorrow and Saturday from 7.30pm.
Phone the school for tickets on (02) 6043 5500.
See Tuesday’s Education Mail to read the students’ thoughts on stepping into the shoes of Austen’s characters.
