ALBURY’S Amy Peters has qualified for the final of women’s K2 1000 in Germany.
Peters and canoe partner Alyce Burnett finished second in the semi-final on the second day of the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Duisburg.
The pair failed narrowly to advance directly to the finals from the heat but made amends overnight.
The final will be held at 2am our time on Sunday.
It is the first time Peters has represented Australia in senior competition and comes after racing in the world under-23 championships in Canada.
The 22-year-old has been training at the AIS high performance base in Gold Coast for most of this year.
