A MAN’S major artery in his neck was narrowly missed in the second alleged domestic stabbing to happen within a week in Wodonga.
Detective Sen-Constable Ian Deverell said a Shepparton man, 39, was stabbed inside a home in West Wodonga after a domestic argument at 10pm on Wednesday night.
Sen-Constable Deverell said the man suffered two stab wounds.
“The victim was very lucky the stab wounds in the neck wasn’t nearer to the major artery,” he said.
He was taken to Albury hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
A woman, 38, was arrested a short time later from the same house and charged with recklessly causing injury and other assault-related offences.
She was bailed to appear before the Wodonga Magistrates’ Court on October 15.
