THE homicide squad have spoken to “several people” and executed a number of warrants in Wodonga after the suspicious death of a man last month.
A Wodonga father, 40, died of a suspected drug overdose on August 22.
His body was found in a Hereford Street house and a woman, 39, was interviewed and released without charges.
Homicide squad Detective Sgt Paul Tremain said three warrants were executed in the Wodonga area, on August 29 and 30.
Police said a Baranduda woman was charged with theft and fraud offences after scripts were allegedly stolen from Central Medical Group in Wodonga to obtain Oxycontin.
Sgt Tremain said investigators were awaiting results to determine exactly how the man died.
