COBRAM detectives are questioning a man in relation to a stabbing and a series of burglaries in the town.
Police said yesterday a Cobram resident, aged 25, was arrested from a Blackwood Crescent home at 1.30pm.
Officers said the man was “assisting with inquiries” and as of last night, charges had not been laid.
The arrest relates to a number of burglaries in the town during the past two months, including a burglary that resulted in horrific injuries for Cobram father David Hyde.
Mr Hyde was with his wife and friends when a break-in occurred in the Dudley Park Lane home last month.
Mr Hyde was confronted with a burglar and was stabbed a number of times and then flown to Melbourne for treatment.
Cobram Detective Sen-Constable Jason Williamson thanked the community for their assistance.
