DON’T waste any time worrying about amusing the kids on the first day of school holidays.
A visiting skate crew will keep them busy on Monday, with demonstrations at Wodonga and Baranduda.
Eight members from the Bunker Indoor Skate Park will give tips, share tricks and show off their skills.
Wodonga Council’s events co-ordinator Kellie Miller said many of the riders were from the same age group as those who used skate parks.
“We were down there this morning and some of the kids doing tricks had a really high level of skill,” she said.
“And they mentioned that one of the scooter riders was the second best in Australia, so I think it would really benefit the youth of Wodonga to talk to the riders.”
The Melbourne-based crew will be at Baranduda Skate Park from 1pm to 3pm and Wodonga’s James Scott Memorial Skate Park from 4pm to 5.30pm.
Entry is free — including a barbecue. There will be skate and scooter demos, giveaways and music.
