JINDERA clinched its fourth Hume netball A grade premiership in the past six seasons with a hard-fought 48-44 win against Murray Magpies at Walbundrie on Saturday.
After trailing by one goal at quarter-time, the Bulldogs hit back strongly to go through the season undefeated.
Coach Bree Kirk, who was voted best on court playing at wing attack, said the match was still in the balance until the dying minutes.
“It was a really close game and we didn’t know who was going to win until the end,” Kirk said.
“We had a good start and led 6-1 but they came back and led at quarter-time.
“It’s the first time we have gone through undefeated so it was a great effort.
“There was a bit of pressure after being undefeated, but the girls were fantastic.”
Sharna Hollands has played for Jindera and Kirk has been the coach on each of the past six grand final appearances.
