AN Albury man accused of using a knife to hold up a Wodonga pizza store at the weekend will stay in jail until December.
Adam Glazebrook, 35, appeared at Wodonga Magistrates’ Court on Monday on charges of armed robbery and theft.
Glazebrook is said to have entered the Mayfair Drive store about 10.30pm on Saturday, wearing a balaclava and wielding a kitchen knife.
Police allege he demanded cash from the lone employee and left with $1200.
Glazebrook was arrested soon after in Melrose Drive.
He was remanded on Sunday to appear yesterday, but the matter was brought forward and he appeared on Monday.
The court ordered he remain in custody and face a committal mention on December 5.
The store manager of Pizza Heaven, Steven Marinic, said this week that while there had been a break-ins at the store, this was the first armed robbery.
“This just makes you more aware,” he said.
“You put everything in place to prevent such incidents but if someone wants to rob you, they will.”
