A BENALLA man jailed for a minimum six years over the death of Albury teenager Kyralee Clark in 2011 has had a series of NSW charges terminated.
Nilsson Keith Smyth was last week sentenced in the County Court at Wodonga to an overall term of nine years.
Judge Michael Bourke sentenced Smyth, 24, for culpable driving after a car chase from NSW into Victoria.
Smyth lost control of a Holden Astra on a left-hand sweeping bend at Bandiana and back seat passenger Ms Clark, 17, was killed.
NSW Police charged Smyth with six offences, including two of failing to stop in a police pursuit, drink-driving and dangerous driving.
Smyth’s case was mentioned before magistrate Tony Murray in Albury Local Court last month.
He indicated the charges should proceed.
Prosecutor Sgt Garry Rowe yesterday told Mr Murray the charges were being withdrawn.
