SYNTHETIC cannabis stolen from a Wodonga adult store is likely to be sold as real deals, police said yesterday.
Artificial drugs valued at almost $6000 were stolen from Erotic Nights in High Street early yesterday.
Detective Sgt Graeme Simpfendorfer said he believed a man caught on CCTV footage had specifically wanted the substance.
“The footage shows one male entering the premises and going behind the counter,” Sgt Simpfedorfer said.
“He takes a box containing the synthetic drug and he was in and out in less than a minute.”

The man broke glass in the front door sometime between midnight and 2am to gain entry.
Sgt Simpfendorfer said the man was wearing a dark hoodie and tracksuit pants and had a black backpack.
Synthetic cannabis, which is legal, mimics the effect of the illegal drug.
“We believe it was stolen for personal use or trafficking,” Sgt Simpfendorfer said.
“We believe they have targeted the business for that reason.
“We want to arrest them as quick as we can and get it back into the shop.”
Sgt Simpfendorfer said police were still seeking evidence at the shop.
Erotic Nights’ staff refused to comment on the incident.
Sgt Simpfendorfer said he wanted anyone with information about burglary or the sale of synthetic cannabis to contact police by phoning (02) 6049 2600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
“We are confident that it will make its way out to buyers in the street,” he said.
